The present invention relates to a composition for coating surfaces of a solid substance, which can coat surfaces regardless of a material or a structure of surfaces of the solid substance, and to a method for treating surfaces of the solid substance using the same. To this end, the composition for coating surfaces of the solid substance includes a polymer of dihydroxyl naphthalene derivatives represented by chemical formula 1. According to the present invention, a coating layer is formed as a uniform thin film on surfaces of the solid substance regardless of the material or the structure of surfaces of the substance. Also, various organic and inorganic materials are introduced on the coating layer at the same time or continuously so that various functionalities can be assigned. Even if the method for treating surfaces of the solid substance has coating power on a par with an existing coating method using polydopamine and various organic and inorganic materials are introduced on the coating layer, economic feasibility and workability are excellent by using a material which has low manufacturing costs and can be easily handled. |
