PURPOSE:To shorten the period of construction work by a method in which a formwork is fixed to the rear side of a stacked block layer of a fixed height, and back-filling concrete is packed into the formwork and hardened. CONSTITUTION:A given height of stacked block layer 3 is formed on the base A for a retaining wall, and a formwork 5 is fixed to the rear side of the layer 3. Back-filling concretes 2 and 6 are packed into the spaces and hardened. The formwork 5 is removed out, and a back-filling material 1 is packed into the space with the base A of retaining wall for ending the constructing work for one stage. These processes are repeated to construct a retaining wall. Since the thickness of the back-filled concrete layer 2 can be equalized, the height of the wall for one stage can thus be made higher than the conventional methods.
