PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument capable of easily securing the airway of a subject without depending upon the skill level of an operator.SOLUTION: A medical instrument according to the present invention is used to secure the airway of a subject, comprising: a tubular member which is inserted through the oral cavity or nasal cavity of the subject such that a tip part thereof is positioned in a specified site of the subject; and a long insertion part which has an imaging unit at the tip part thereof and is inserted into the tubular member slidably relative to the tubular member. The medical instrument is used such that the tip part of the tubular member is delivered to a specified site of the subject in a state in which the medical instrument is assembled with the insertion part inserted into the tubular member. |
