a determination unit configured to determine whether a density of each pixel in image data is equal to or less than a threshold; and an adding unit configured to add a predetermined density to a density of each pixel, wherein, in a case where a determination is made that a density of a pixel of interest is greater than the threshold, or in a case where a pixel having a greater density than the threshold is present in a neighborhood of the pixel of interest at a predetermined distance from the pixel of interest,
exposure with intensity corresponding to a density of the pixel of interest to which the predetermined density has not been added is performed on a photoreceptor drum at a position corresponding to the pixel of interest, otherwise,
exposure with intensity corresponding to a density of the pixel of interest to which the predetermined density has been added is performed on the photoreceptor drum at the position corresponding to the pixel of interest. |
