The present invention pertains to a container sterilization method that uses a peracetic acid sterilizing composite solution. The sterilization method supplies a sterilization composite solution, after heating by a heating device (3), that contains peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid, and catalase, which are adjusted in a circulation tank (1), to a sterilization device (4), and recovers, to the circulation tank (1), the sterilizing composite solution after being used for sterilization. Catalase is added to the sterilizing composite solution in a circulation path from after use for sterilization until being supplied to the heating device. Thereby, the sterilization method can maintain the sterilization capacity of the sterilizing composite solution by suppressing the catalase from being inactive, and can circulate and use the sterilizing composite solution without cooling, thus reducing heat energy and achieving greater cost effectiveness. |
