A run-flat tire comprises: a pair of beads (12); sidewalls (14) which respectively connect to the beads (12); a carcass (16) which straddles the beads (12) and which has a body (16A) located between bead cores (24) and which also has folded-back sections (16B) folded back around the bead cores (24); a tread (18) which is provided on the outside of the body (16A) in the radial direction of the tire; side reinforcement layers (20) which are arranged on the inside of the body (16A) in the width direction of the tire and which are configured so that the thickness of the side reinforcement layers (20) is gradually reduced toward the beads (12) and toward the crown (16C) of the carcass (16); and side rubber (22)(side layers) which is disposed in the sidewalls (14) on the outside of the body (16A) relative to the tire, constitutes the outer surface of the tire, and is configured such that, if the thickness of the side rubber (22) measured at positions located at a distance from each other defining the maximum width (CW) of the body (16A) in the width direction of the tire is Gs, and the thickness of the whole of each of the sidewalls (14) is Gt6, then the side rubber (22)(side layers) satisfies the relationship of Gs/Gt6 ≤ 0.35. |
