<p>Various retractable spout assemblies for use with bottle or can-type containers are disclosed. An assembly (20) for use with a can, where a pouring direction is important, has a retractable spout (22) covered by a cap (24) and being rotatable to achieve an alignment that provides correct pouring, while a vent channel (40) is provided to let air enter the can. Other embodiments may include a membrane for sealing the container and holding the spout in a retracted position using mechanical force transmitted using a ring extending from a separately secured cap. The spout may include a one-way valve and may also be pivotally mounted for tilting.</p> |
