Provided is a multilayer ceramic electronic component which prevents a crack from being generated easily near the outermost layer of a multilayer ceramic element and has an excellent mounting ability on a mounting substrate. The multilayer ceramic electronic component includes: a multilayer ceramic element; a first external electrode which is formed in the central part of the surface of the multilayer ceramic element; second external electrodes which are respectively formed to arrange the first external electrode between the second external electrodes; multiple first internal electrodes which are formed in the multilayer ceramic element and are electrically connected by interposing a third withdrawable part in the first external electrode; and multiple second internal electrodes which are electrically connected by interposing first and second withdrawable parts in the second external electrodes. In the multilayer ceramic electronic component, an end of the first withdrawable part of the second internal electrodes arranged near the central layer of the multilayer ceramic element has a distance C from the end surface of the multilayer ceramic element and an end of the first withdrawable part of the second internal electrodes arranged near the outermost layer of the multilayer ceramic element has a distance D which is longer than the distance C when having the distance D from the end surface of the multilayer ceramic element.
