PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a conventional fuel cell stack that, because a uniform load is given to a laminate, displacement absorption of a membrane electrode assembly and securement of sealing performance of a peripheral portion have been difficult to be balanced.SOLUTION: A fuel cell stack FS includes: a laminate M of unit cells C having a structure for holding a pair of membrane electrode assemblies 2 by a pair of separators 3,4; a first displacement absorption means 11 for absorbing the displacement of the laminate M in the lamination direction at a position corresponding to the peripheral portion of the unit cell C; and second displacement absorption means 12A-12C for absorbing the displacement of the laminate M in the lamination direction at a position corresponding to the power generation region of the membrane electrode assembly 2. Displacement absorption of a membrane electrode assembly 2 and securement of sealing performance of a peripheral portion are balanced by allowing suitable setting of a displacement absorption amount at each position. |
