PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently suppressing slime at a white water circulation system in a papermaking process.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for suppressing slime at a white water circulation system in a papermaking process, including: a step of exposing an oxygen-containing gas to a water system introducing into the white water circulation system; and a step of adding a slime control agent to the water system. Preferably, the slime suppression method further includes a step of measuring at least one kind of item selected from a measurement item group consisting of the oxidation-reduction potential of the white water circulation system, a sulfite ion concentration and a dissolved oxygen content. |
