The invention relates to a continuously heated sauna stove in which some of the heated air which rises up through the double mantle flows past the sauna stone compartment whilst some flows through the sauna stone compartment in order to increase the efficiency of heating of the sauna stones. The upward flow is regulated with the aid of turbulence and the Coanda effect so that, during the phase when the air flow is hot and intense, a considerable proportion of the hot air flows through the sauna stone compartment and heats the stones effectively, but during the phase when the air flow is less warm and the fire is in its final phase or has been extinguished, the air flow is directed past the sauna stone compartment, in order to prevent an unnecessarily rapid cooling down of the sauna stones. <IMAGE>
