PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary type heat treatment furnace capable of quickly discharging a treated product after heat treatment even without changing a posture of a treatment container and capable of reducing the cycle time.SOLUTION: A rotary type heat treatment device comprises: a cylindrical treatment container 11 having a discharge port 27 for a treated product at one end in the axial direction; a heater 12 for heat treatment of the treated product in the treatment container 11; and a rotary drive part 15 which rotary-drives the treatment container 11 around the axis thereof in both forward and backward directions, and rotary-drives the treatment container 11 in one direction during the heat treatment of the treated product. The treatment container 11 has therein a transfer blade 54 which transfers the treated product to the discharge port 27 by rotation of the treatment container 11 in the other direction.
