A composite combustion device comprising a plurality of combustion units (2) each having a burner (4) and a blower fan (5), an exhaust collection pipe (10) that connects the plurality of combustion units (2), and a check valve (7) that opens by way of blower fan (5) rotation and that prevents combustion exhaust from flowing back into each combustion unit (2) from the exhaust collection pipe (10), wherein when a portion of the plurality of combustion units (2) is in a combustion operation state and another combustion unit (2) is in a non-combustion operation state that continues for more than a prescribed time, or when a reverse flow sensor (8) for the other combustion unit (2) detects a reverse flow of the combustion exhaust, the blower fan (5) of the other combustion unit (2) is run for a prescribed time. |
