<p>The invention relates to a protective system for tension members (4, 5) of a structure (1), in particular for a cable stay of a bridge structure, comprising a protective device for tension members (4, 5) for collecting ice accumulations detaching from a tension member (4, 5), and a tension member (4, 5), the tension member (4, 5) being anchored on the structure (1) in a first abutment (6) by its first end and in a second abutment (7) by its second end. The tension member (4, 5) is exposed to climatic conditions by the section running between the abutments (6, 7). To guarantee absolute protection from falling ice accumulations, it is provided, according to the invention, that the protective device comprises a hose-shaped envelope (11), which surrounds the tension member (4, 5) on the circumferential side. The hose-shaped envelope (11) is disposed on a partial longitudinal section of the tension member (4,5) in an axially compressed or folded manner in a first operating position, and is movable, with the aid of a drive system, to a second operating position, in which the hose-shaped envelope (11) extends over the length of the tension member (4, 5) in the stretched state.</p> |
