PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprue pin and a casting mold which can shorten a cooling time.SOLUTION: A sprue pin 1 is mounted to a casting mold body 100 having a cavity 141 therein, and forms, between it and the mold body 100, a casting plan part 150 which changes a flow direction of molten metal from a plunger pump 200 to guide the molten metal to the cavity 141. The sprue pin 1 includes a bottom wall part 60 on the plunger pump 200 side, and a peripheral wall part 70 axially extending from the periphery of the bottom wall part 60. The sprue pin 1 includes: an outer shell part 50 where a corner part 90, in which the bottom wall part 60 and the peripheral wall part 70 intersect with each other, is brought into contact with the casting plan part 150; a columnar core 10 which is inserted and mounted to the outer shell part 50; and a refrigerant passage 30 which is formed in the outer shell part 50 and/or the core 10 and through which a refrigerant flows. The refrigerant passage 30 includes a third passage 33 cooling the corner part 90, a fourth passage 34 cooling the bottom wall part 60, and a seventh passage 37 cooling the peripheral wall part 70. The refrigerant flows through the third passage 33, the fourth passage 34, and the seventh passage 37 in this order. |
