PURPOSE:To determine the value of a compensating signal with high sensitivity and to obtain large capacity by turning off an integrator for a servo circuit for integrating a position signals to detect the value of the position signal. CONSTITUTION:At the time of head seaking, a SW 1 is ON and SWs 2, 3 are OFF. A difference between a speed signal reproduced by a speed signal generating circuit 3 and a speed reference signal controlled by a CPU 8 and outputted from a D/A converter 9 is inputted to a driver circuit 5 through a notch filter 4 and converted into force by a head carriage driving motor 6 to execute seaking operation. The force is integrated twice to obtain position information and the position information is reproduced by a position signal reproducing circuit 1 to constitute a feedback loop. At the time of controlling positioning on an objective track, the SW 1 is OFF, the SWs 2, 3 are ON and the position signal reproduced by the circuit 1 is controlled by a CPU 8 through a servo circuit 2 and added to a compensating signal. The added signal is inputted to a driver circuit 5 and converted into force by the motor 6 and the force is integrated twice and outputted as position information.
