PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make banding in dot recording be inconspicuous.SOLUTION: The dot recording device performs main scanning paths for forming dots on a recording medium while moving relatively a recording head and the recording medium in a main scanning direction and sub scanning for relatively moving the recording medium and the recording head in a sub scanning direction crossing the main scanning direction so as to perform multipass recording allowing the formation of dots on a main scanning line to be completed in N times (N is an integer of two or more) main scanning paths. Ratios of the dots that represent ratios of pixel at which dot recording is carried out in each main scanning path for the multipass recording are set to change gradually and periodically across a plurality of sections in the main scanning direction, and different values of the ratios of dots in the plurality of sections extending in the main scanning direction are set to be 3 or more. |
