<p>PURPOSE: An avalanche photodiode detector is provided to implement high gains by amplifying an output signal with high amplification rates and by reducing bias voltages. CONSTITUTION: An avalanche photodiode detector (100) comprises a signal detector (110), an impedance transform amplifier (120), and a variable gain amplifier (VGA) (130). The signal detector detects a signal by using an avalanche photodiode (111). The impedance transform amplifier amplifies feedback resistance radio frequency (RF) by including an amplification element (121). The VGA amplifies the signal amplified by the impedance transform amplifier according to variable gains. The avalanche photodiode detector maintains high gains without reducing a bandwidth and reduces input capacitances instead of the increase of feedback resistance.</p> |
