PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a decrease in interest in a notice performance by keeping a player's sense of expectation even if a variation pattern along progress of a game is selectable in a game machine that executes a variation display game for variably displaying a plurality of pieces of identification information on a display device on the basis of entry of a game ball to a start winning hole, and permits occurrence of a special game state advantageous to a player when the variation display game results in a special result.SOLUTION: Determination values of a determination random number used for determination of a variation pattern comprises: a non-common determination value where a setting value differs according to the number of start memories in determination; and a common determination value regardless of the number of start memories in determination. Start time determination means for determining a determination random number value in start of a variation display game determines a determination random value according to the non-common determination value corresponding to the number of start memories in determination. Predetermination means for determining the determination random number value in advance prior to the start time determination means determines the determination random value by the common determination value regardless of the number of start memories in determination.
