<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability of a searched related term.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: a term extraction unit for extracting a plurality of terms from a plurality of documents; a feature extraction unit which extracts feature quantity of each of the extracted terms while distinguishing between terms having the same expression; a clustering unit which clusters the extracted terms while distinguishing between the terms having the same expression, to calculate a membership vector composed of two or more degrees of membership of the terms to the clusters; a related term extraction unit which extracts a related term, which is a term having a similar membership vector to a given input term, while distinguishing between the terms having the same expression; and an output unit which outputs the related phase and identification information for identifying the related term. This invention is applicable to a system for searching for a related term, for example.</p> |
