Moreover, the controller determines whether to add the security information to the image data on the basis of a value of a security addition flag for the box in which the image data is stored or a value of a security addition flag for the image data.

1. An image managing apparatus comprising:
a storage unit that includes a plurality of boxes for storing image data, wherein each of the plurality of boxes has a preset value of a security addition flag; and a processor configured to:
receive an image transmission request to transmit a specific image data stored in one of the boxes in the storage unit from the image managing apparatus to an external apparatus;determine whether to add security information to the specific image data based on the preset value of the security addition flag set for the one box in response to the image transmission request;add the security information to the specific image data after the processor has determined, based on the value of the security addition flag for the one box in which the specific image data is stored, that the security information is to be added to the specific image data; andtransmit the specific image data including the security information from the storage unit to the external apparatus.
