PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute post-processing by a post-processing apparatus connected to a printing apparatus with an easy operation without printing by the printing apparatus.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus comprises: execution means to execute an inline job and an offline job, where the inline job is for causing a post-processing apparatus to execute post-processing on a sheet printed by a printing apparatus and the offline job is for causing the post-processing apparatus to execute post-processing on a sheet without printing by the printing apparatus; detection means to detect that a sheet has been set in a paper feed unit configured to feed a sheet to the post-processing apparatus; setting means configured to set whether to cause the execution means to execute the offline job that uses the sheet in response to the detection means detecting that the sheet has been set in the paper feed unit; and control means configured to control the post-processing apparatus to automatically start post-processing corresponding to the offline job in response to the detection means detecting that the sheet has been set in the paper feed unit in the case where execution of the offline job by the execution means is set by the setting means.
