<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely hold a musical instrument housing while ensuring good appearance with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The outline of an upper case 20 is a closed curve shape including a convex front curved part R1 on the front side, a convex rear curved part R2 on the rear side, an upper line R3 for interconnecting the upper ends of the front curved part R1 and rear curved part R2, and a lower line R4 for interconnecting the lower ends of the front curved part R1 and rear curved part R2. While the vertical position of an upper case 20 with respect to a lower case 10 is regulated by abutment of attaching sections 14, 15 and 16 on attaching sections 24, 25 and 26, a lower surface 23a connected to the outer surface 23d of a sidewall 23 of the upper case 20 and a lower surface 13a connected to the outer surface 13c of an engaging rib 13 are flat and flush with each other, and define the lower line R4 in the side view.
