The present invention relates to a base station and to a control method of the base station. The base station includes: a connection unit which is connected to a terminal through a primary cell (PCell); and a terminal function confirming unit which confirms whether to support a specific function through at least one frequency band. The present invention for the terminal applying a CA function can improve communication service use quality which utilizes a carrier aggregation (CA) function by controlling connection of the PCell based on facts which affect the CA function than a load of the cells.
