<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backing metal which is easily fittable to a column, can increase assembling precision by deforming the shape of the body, and particularly has an advantage that the gap between a column round-shaped part and the round-shaped part of the backing metal as the cause of a welding defect can be adjusted so as to be small, and in which the falling of molten metal is hardly generated in the round-shaped part of the backing metal upon normal welding by securing the sufficient sheet thickness of the backing metal. <P>SOLUTION: In the backing metal for a column, the body is formed into rectangular frame shape made of one or two members with the same shape in such a manner that a belt-like metal plate is bent, and, at least on one part in the plane part of the backing metal held between the two round-shaped parts of the backing metal, a pair of grooves located in an opposite diagonal state and in which each is deeply formed than the mutual shortest distance are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
