<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot press apparatus in which service life of a lower die can be prolonged by sufficiently cooling the neighborhood of the forming surface of the lower die. <P>SOLUTION: The hot press apparatus 1 includes a die 2 which is composed of an upper die 3 having first circulation paths 3b through which a liquid cooling medium W is circulated and a lower die 4 having second circulation paths 4b through which the liquid cooling medium W is circulated, and a circulation pump 8a with which the liquid cooling medium W is circulated through the first circulating paths 3b and the second circulating paths 4b respectively. The lower die 4 is provided with a block die 5 which constitutes the lower side forming surface 5a of the lower die 4 and a hollow part 6a is provided inside the block die 5 over the entire area of the lower side forming surface 5a.
