PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect presence or absence of short circuit abnormalities between end parts of two phase coils of a stepping motor without applying an excitation current to both two phase coils.SOLUTION: Abnormality detection processing means 31, at an operation stop of a stepping motor 1, detects presence or absence of abnormalities of a circuit system on the basis of an output of current detection means 12 while executing controlling a first switch circuit part 22 of a motor energization circuit 21A connected to a coil 2A of a first phase to a positive electrode connection state and controlling a second switch circuit part 23 to a negative electrode connection state, and controlling both the first switch circuit part 22 and the second switch circuit part 23 of a motor energization circuit 21B connected with a coil 2B of a second phase to the negative electrode connection state (or the positive electrode connection state). |
