PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material having a lithium metal compound having a polyanion structure whose particle diameter is small, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the same and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery (1) have a lithium metal compound having a polyanion structure (LiMXOZ) arranged on the surface of a conductive matrix in the positive electrode active material. Disclosed is a manufacturing method for manufacturing the lithium metal compound having the polyanion structure (LiMXOZ) arranged on the surface of the conductive matrix. The lithium metal compound is manufactured from an intermediate product formed on the surface of the conductive matrix. |
