<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet short fiber nonwoven fabric having small thickness and low permeability capable of being produced cost-advantageously and suitable for uses for a filter and a separator of good performance by using a main fiber with a flat cross-sectional shape and a binder fiber comprising polyethylene terephthalate excellent in heat-adhesive performance. <P>SOLUTION: A web is produced by using a main fiber with a flat cross-sectional shape having an aspect ratio, which is a ratio of a long side to a short side in length (long side b/short side a), of 1.5-6.0, a fiber length of 2-20 mm, and a single filament fineness of 0.8-4.0 dtex, and a binder fiber comprising PET excellent in heat-adhesive performance, and this is subjected to a heat treatment so as to provide a wet short fiber nonwoven fabric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
