PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepreg for producing an FRP having high impact resistance, interlayer toughness and conductivity in the thickness direction and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a prepreg 100 which comprises: a first prepreg 10 comprising a reinforced fiber 11 and a resin composition (I) 13 impregnated in a reinforced fiber layer formed by the reinforced fiber 11; and a surface layer composed of a resin composition (II) 15 formed on one surface or both surfaces of the first prepreg 10, wherein the resin composition (I) 13 is an epoxy resin composition [B] comprising at least an epoxy resin and a thermoplastic resin and the resin composition (II) 15 is an epoxy resin composition [A] which comprises at least an epoxy resin and conductive particles and has a viscosity at 80°C of 100 to 5000 poises as determined from a temperature-viscosity curve measured using a rheometer.
