<p>The reflector (R) has a paraboloidal membrane (M) including an active face allowing electromagnetic radiation to be reflected, and an opposite face (Fopp) having ribs (N) for allowing the stiffness of the reflector to be increased. The ribs are placed on the opposite face such that the ribs form a grid pattern between them, where the dimension of the rib perpendicular to a point where the rib is fastened to the paraboloidal membrane increases with distance from an edge of the reflector. The membrane is made of carbon composite, and the ribs are attached by silicone adhesive. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing the reflector.</p> |
