<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated electrode which, even when horizontal fillet welding is carried out using the coated electrode under a welding condition of high current, exhibits excellent rod burning resistance, provides stable arc and is excellent in slag peelability and a bead shape. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the coated electrode having a steel core wire coated with a coating, wherein the coating contains: 0.6-4.0 mass% manganese carbonate having a mean particle size of 5-45μm and having an MnCO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>content of 90 mass% or large; 2-8 mass% metal carbonate other than the manganese carbonate; 8-16 mass% rutile; 4-12 mass% silica sand; 2-8 mass% magnesia clinker; 5-11 mass% ferromanganese; 40-60 mass% iron powder; and the balance comprising a coating agent, water glass, and inevitable impurities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
