<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carbon black by paying attention to the content of hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the carbon black includes regulating the following t<SB>1</SB>(s), T<SB>1</SB>(°C), t<SB>2</SB>(s), T<SB>2</SB>(°C), t<SB>3</SB>(s) and T<SB>3</SB>(°C) within prescribed ranges in prescribed relations: t<SB>1</SB>is a retention time from the introduction of a raw material hydrocarbon into a high-temperature combustion gas flow to the introduction of a first quenching medium; T<SB>1</SB>is a reaction temperature just before the introduction of the first quenching medium; t<SB>2</SB>is a retention time from the introduction of the first quenching medium to the introduction of a second quenching medium; T<SB>2</SB>is a reaction temperature just before the introduction of the second quenching medium; t<SB>3</SB>is a retention time of the reaction gas flow from the introduction of the second quenching medium to the passage in a reaction-stopping zone; and T<SB>3</SB>is a reaction temperature (the temperature at the vicinity of a space at the downstream end of a reaction-continuing and cooling chamber) just before the finish of the reaction by quenching the reaction gas flow in the reaction-stopping zone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
