Disclosed herein is a method and system for utilizing a digital data capture device in conjunction with a Bluetooth (BT) enabled mobile device for publishing data and multimedia content on one or more websites automatically or with minimal user intervention. A client application is provided on the BT enabled mobile device. In the absence of inbuilt BT capability, a BT communication device is provided on the digital data capture device. The BT communication device is paired with the BT enabled mobile device to establish a connection. The client application detects capture of data and multimedia content on the digital data capture device and initiates transfer of the captured data, multimedia content, and associated files. The digital data capture device transfers the captured data, multimedia content, and the associated files to the client application. The client application automatically publishes the transferred data and multimedia content on one or more websites. |

1. A machine-implemented method for data transfer to a website, comprising:
for a mobile device having a short-range wireless capability to connect with a data capture device, the mobile device having access to the internet, wherein the mobile device comprises one of a mobile phone device, a cell phone device and a personal digital assistance device, performing in the mobile device:
establishing a short-range paired wireless link between the mobile device and the data capture device when both devices are in range of each other, wherein the short-range is short-range radio frequency that is most effective for data transfer when devices are less than 100 meters apart, wherein the mobile device uses a cryptographic encryption key for the short-range paired wireless link;negotiating with the data capture device, the internet access sharing availability of the mobile device, over the established paired short-range wireless link, comprising:
sending, a notification message to the data capture device, over the established short-range paired wireless link, wherein the notification message corresponds to an offer to share internet access of the mobile device, and wherein the internet access for sharing, is offered by the mobile device over the short-range wireless link using a personal area networking technology;receiving, a response to the notification message from the data capture device, over the established short-range paired wireless link, wherein the response to the notification message corresponds to the data capture device requesting the mobile device to initiate the internet access sharing for the data capture device; andenabling the mobile device to allow the data capture device to connect to the internet through the short-range paired wireless link; receiving encrypted new-data from the data capture device, over the established short-range paired wireless link, wherein encrypted new-data corresponding to new-data, wherein the new-data is data acquired by the data capture device after the short-range wireless pairing is established; obtaining new-data from the received encrypted new-data using the cryptographic encryption key; configuring the obtained new-data for transfer to the destination website such that the destination website identifies the mobile device as the source of the new-data; and transferring the configured new-data to the destination website. |
