PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ant-proof expanded polystyrene heat-insulating material which exhibits little leaving of silafluofen in the thermal history of primary expansion and secondary expansion of polystyrene beads in spite of a small addition amount of the silafluofen as an ant-proof chemical to thereby effectively prevent the insect damage to buildings by termites.
SOLUTION: A liquid ant-proof chemical containing silafluofen as an effective component is adhered to polystyrene beads impregnated with a volatile expansion agent, and evenly stirred and mixed to homogeneously impregnate the whole of the polystyrene beads with the silafluofen; then, the polystyrene beads impregnated with the ant-proof chemical is heated to primarily expand, and the primarily expanded polystyrene beads are filled in a mold of a desired shape, and heated to secondarily expand, to thereby mold the polystyrene beads into a platy shape or a block shape with the ant-proof chemical being carried on the polystyrene beads and in bubbles.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
|
