A wave energy converter according the present invention comprises: a base fixed and supported on a sea floor; a rotary unit disposed on an upper end of the base to rotate at 360 degrees; a hinge unit disposed on an upper end of the rotary unit to rotate about an axis; a center unit mounted on an upper end of the hinge unit in a bar shape to extend from the upper end of the hinge unit to the sea surface; a buoy disposed above the sea surface to provide buoyancy and provided with a penetration hole on the middle thereof in a vertical direction for the center unit to penetrate thereinto; and an energy conversion unit disposed on an upper end of the center unit to receive the buoyancy of the buoy to convert energy. The energy conversion unit comprises: a magnetic force unit disposed on the upper end of the center unit and has the same inner radius as the inner radius of the center unit to generate a magnetic force; a housing enclosing an outer surface of the magnetic force unit, wherein the buoy comes in contact with a lower surface thereof to move in accordance with a movement of the buoy; and a stator disposed inside the housing and provided with a coil therein to move the magnetic force unit in a longitudinal direction. The energy conversion unit repetitively moves in the longitudinal direction of the center unit to generate energy using the buoyancy generated by the buoy. |
