PURPOSE:To prevent strength shortage due to deflective contact or addendum contact by selectively combining a group of differential cases and a group of pinion shafts so as to obtain appropriate clearance. CONSTITUTION:A pinion shaft fitting hole 4 is formed in a differential case 1 so as to obtain the inside diameter dimension in the range of allowable error. A pinion shaft 5 is formed so as to obtain the outside diameter dimension in the range of allowable error. Selective combination of a group of differential cases 1 and a pinion shaft 5 is performed so as to obtain the clearance in the appropriate range. Thus, lack of strength due to deflective contact or addendum contact can be prevented.
