PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt device configured to prevent slack of a belt member during replacement while enhancing exchangeability, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A belt device includes: an intermediate transfer belt 11 which is stretched by a driving roller 13, a driven roller 14, and a secondary transfer opposite roller 15, to endlessly move; and a main frame 12 which rotatably supports the rollers. A first guide member 50 is supported so as to be drawn forward with respect to the main frame 12, and supports the intermediate transfer belt 11 in mounting/dismounting the intermediate transfer belt 11 on/from the main frame 12, to guide the movement of the intermediate transfer belt 11. When a horizontal length of the intermediate transfer belt 11 is W, and a vertical length thereof is H, the first guide member 50 supporting the intermediate transfer belt 11 has variable length relations, W>H and W<H. |
