PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a display control method for the imaging apparatus capable of transmitting information simply and in an easy-to-understand manner even when a photographer is concentrated on a subject underwater.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus images a subject image, outputs image data, and displays a live view image on a display on the basis of the image data (S15). The apparatus receives acoustic waves transmitted from the outside (S19), converts the acoustic waves to electric signals, analyzes the acoustic waves on the basis of the electric signals, generates an image based on the result of the analysis, synthesizes the image and the live view image, and displays the synthetic image on the display (S21, S23). |
