<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment discharge facility which is simplified and does not waste water in a dam reservoir.SOLUTION: A sediment discharge facility 100 for a dam reservoir P having a structure comprising sediment carriage means 1 to 4 for moving a sediment A in the dam reservoir P to downstream D of a dam body B comprises: a siphon type water conduit pipe 5 whose water absorption port is disposed in a water area in the dam reservoir P and whose exhaust port across the dam body B is disposed downstream of the dam body B; a negative pressure pump 6 for making the siphon type water conduit pipe 5 work on the basis of the principle of siphon; a hydraulic pressure engine 7 driven by using water from the siphon type water conduit pipe 5; and power transmission means 8 to 10 for driving the sediment carriage means 1 to 4 by transmitting power by the drive of the hydraulic pressure engine 7 to the sediment carriage means 1 to 4. The sediment carriage means 1 to 4 include screw conveyors 1 and 2 capable of discharging water from an object to be conveyed to return the water to the dam reservoir P.</p> |
