PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain cast coating base paper for process paper base materials and cast coated paper, having no unevenness on a coated surface by heating and excellent in dimensional stability.SOLUTION: The cast coating base paper for process paper base materials has a coated layer including a pigment and an adhesive and provided on at least one surface of the base paper by a cast coating method. The base paper is made by vibrating the wire of a paper machine using a wire shaking device so that a shaking strength defined by the following formula 1 is 10,000-20,000 (a range), where (formula 1): shaking strength=vibration frequency(Hz)×amplitude(mm)/speed(m/min).
