A polypeptide and polynucleotides comprising at least two carboxy-terminal peptides (CTP) of chorionic gonadotrophin attached to a non-human peptide-of-interest are disclosed. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the non-human polypeptides and polynucleotides of the invention and methods of using both human and non-human polypeptides and polynucleotides are also disclosed.

A polypeptide consisting of peptide of interest selected from an interferon peptide, an erythropoietin peptide (EPO) or a glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1), and two or three chorionic gonadotrophin carboxy terminal peptides attached to said peptide of interest, wherein a first chorionic gonadotrophin carboxy terminal peptide of said two or three chorionic gonadotrophin carboxy terminal peptides is attached to an amino terminus of said peptide of interest, and a second chorionic gonadotrophin carboxy terminal peptide of said two or three chorionic gonadotrophin carboxy terminal peptides is attached to a carboxy terminus of said peptide of interest.
