摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data decoding device capable of performing decompression processing faster than a configuration comprising at least a single decompressor, in a configuration smaller than a configuration comprising plural decompressors. <P>SOLUTION: An image data decoding device comprises an adjacent block identity determination unit 1104 and a DC correction unit 1110 in addition to a Huffman decoding unit 104 for performing Huffman decoding of acquired compressed image data and a JPEG code decompression unit 106 for decompressing the Huffman decoding result according to a JPEG system. The adjacent block identity determination unit 1104 determines whether an AC component of the Huffman decoding result of a block from the Huffman decoding unit 104 is identical to an AC component of the previous block and, if the AC components are identical, passes a difference between DC components of the current and previous blocks to the DC correction unit 1110, instead of allowing the JPEG code decompression unit 106 to perform JPEG decompression.
