<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data decoding device capable of performing decompression processing faster than a configuration comprising at least a single decompressor, in a configuration smaller than a configuration comprising plural decompressors. <P>SOLUTION: An image data decoding device comprises an adjacent block identity determination unit 1104 and a DC correction unit 1110 in addition to a Huffman decoding unit 104 for performing Huffman decoding of acquired compressed image data and a JPEG code decompression unit 106 for decompressing the Huffman decoding result according to a JPEG system. The adjacent block identity determination unit 1104 determines whether an AC component of the Huffman decoding result of a block from the Huffman decoding unit 104 is identical to an AC component of the previous block and, if the AC components are identical, passes a difference between DC components of the current and previous blocks to the DC correction unit 1110, instead of allowing the JPEG code decompression unit 106 to perform JPEG decompression. The DC correction unit 1110 corrects the decoding result of the previous block according to the difference to generate the decoding result of the current block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
