The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing metal nanoparticles in a solution, wherein the grain size of particles can be adjusted easily even while using a limited amount of a capping agent and uniform nanoparticles can be obtained. For the purpose, the present invention uses an organic salt including three-dimensionally bulky cations together with the capping agent. In addition, the grain size is adjusted by adjusting a reaction temperature and a stirring speed. According to the present invention, the loss of the nanoparticles caused by the excessive use of the capping agent is prevented, the contamination of the inner wall of a nano-reaction vessel can be prevented and a treatment process for finally obtaining the particles is facilitated. The manufactured metal nanoparticles are desirable in terms of application as an ink composition owing to excellent dispersibility.
