PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a socket to exhibit a dumper function by a simple structure.SOLUTION: An IC socket 10 includes: a socket body 20 having a storage part 20b for detachably storing an IC package 100; a socket cover 30 of which the one-side end portion 30a is rotatably and pivotally supported on the socket body 20 by a first rotary shaft X1 to open/close the storage part 20b and the latch member 32 of the other-side end portion 30c is locked by a locking piece 20h and held in a closed state; and a pressing mechanism for pressing a heat dissipation member 40 abutting on an upper surface of the IC package 100 by rotating a cam 52 of a lever member 50 pivotally supported by a third rotary shaft X3 of the socket cover 30. The socket cover 30 includes a metal plate 36 in which an opposing direction of the socket cover 30 to the storage part 20b in a closed state is a plate thickness direction over a range from the one-side end portion 30a to the other-side end portion 30c, and the metal plate 36 has a groove 36a formed so as to be folded in parallel with the first rotary shaft X1 in the vicinity of a portion on which force is received from the third rotary shaft X3. |
