PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion unit capable of cooling according to heat amount discharged from an electric component.SOLUTION: The electric power conversion unit for converting a DC power into an AC power of the present invention uses a die cast housing. The housing has the rear face arranged with plural vertical fins disposed thereon to form an air flow path to allow the air to flow therethrough. In a right and left view of the rear face, the face at one side is formed higher than the face at the other side. In the inside of the housing, a component disposed at a position corresponding to the one side discharges an amount of heat smaller than the heat amount discharged by a component disposed at a position corresponding to the other side in the housing.
