<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery holding structure in which a battery is less likely to escape from a holder when compared with prior art, and impact of battery dimensions on the outermost diameter of the holder can be minimized. <P>SOLUTION: (1) In a battery holding structure 10 where a plurality of batteries 20 arranged in parallel (side-by-side) are held by means of a holder 30 on the side surface 21 of the battery 20, the clearance S between the side surface 21 of the battery 20 and the holder 30 is filled with a resin 40 by making the resin 40 flow into the clearance S and solidify. (2) In the side surface 21 of the battery 20 and/or the holder 30, a recess 50 is provided in the direction of increasing the volume of the clearance S, and is also filled with the resin 40. (3) The resin 40 includes a protrusion 41 protruding from the clearance S to the outside thereof.
