<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide steel for a connecting rod, having high tensile strength and yield strength, excellent in fatigue strength to repeating stress of tension and compression in the axial direction, and low in thermal conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: This steel for a connecting rod includes C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Al, Ti, V, N and O; and Cu, Ni and Mo as selective elements, and has≥47 of fn1,≥0.60 of fn2 and 0.0002-0.0080 of fn3, wherein fn1=6.7×(42[Si%]+25[Mn%]+14[Cu%]+12[Ni%]+16[Cr%]+12[Mo%]+42[Al%]+14[V%])0.5...(1); fn2=[C%]+[Si%]/7+[Mn%]/5+[Cr%]/9+[V%]/2-5[S%]/7...(2); fn3=[Ti%]-0.599[O%]...(3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
