<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device capable of reducing the occurrence of communication disconnection. <P>SOLUTION: An optical terminal device comprises a plurality of ports and a processing device 3 made to be capable of transmitting and receiving with each port. The processing device 3 comprises a layer 2 switching device 31 which receives a MAC frame including an Ethernet header, an IP header, and a TCP header via a port, and transmits the MAC frame to a port corresponding to a destination MAC address in the Ethernet header.
