<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard system allowing gesture and key inputs.SOLUTION: A keyboard system includes a plurality of depression type keys 100. Each key includes a common electrode 113, a key top 105 which is displaced toward the common electrode when depressed, first electrodes 101a, 101b, and 101c which are arranged on the key top so as to be capacitively coupled to the common electrode, and second electrodes 103a, 103b, and 103c which are arranged on the key top so as to be capacitively coupled to the common electrode. When a finger touches a key cover 107, composite capacitance between the first electrodes and the second electrodes is changed. When the key top is depressed, capacitance between the first and second electrodes and the common electrode is increased. The difference of capacitance is detected to output signals corresponding to the touch on the key and depression of the key.</p> |
